Fabric Composition

The advantages of cycling are manifold; the physical benefits, the camaraderie of cycling with a friend or group, or embracing the sights and sounds of your ride while going it solo.

One of the few downsides to the sport has to do with lack of preparation and/or inferior gear. The discomfort due to wearing low-quality cycling apparel will be most apparent through chafing and skin irritation due to the fabric¿s inability to wick moisture away from your skin.

At DFrancis our product line is produced from the finest quality performance material, integrating 55% polyester and 45% CoolMax fabric which is engineered to keep you dryer and more comfortable. Field studies show that ¿after 30 minutes, CoolMax is nearly 100% dry, while the closest competitor is less than 86 percent dry.¿ Additionally, the ability of our fabric to ¿breathe¿ with you¿called ¿air permeability¿ will maximize your comfort and the experience of the ride.

Because we do not rely on a chemical treatment to the polyester, but incorporate qualities inherent to the actual fibers, you can wash your jersey time and again without sacrificing performance. We recommend that you do not use fabric softeners or bleach. You may wish to simply let your jersey air dry as machine drying is really not necessary.
